WOOD HUB obtains the first WELL Core Platinum Certification in Belgium

As the first company in Belgium, CFE Group is proud to announce today that it has been awarded WELL Core Platinum Certification for Wood Hub, its new 7,300m² office building located in Brussels. The prestigious distinction was awarded through International WELL Building Institute (IWBI)'s WELL Building Standard (WELL), which is the premier building standard to focus on enhancing people's health and wellness through the buildings where we live, work and play.

Wood Hub, recently officially inaugurated by CFE in its clients and partners' presence, was designed to provide a stimulating and healthy working environment. As the first building in Belgium with WELL Core Platinum certification, Wood Hub is the example of a highly sustainable and healthy building where the well-being of people in their working environment is a priority. The certification was achieved by defining the most effective performance standards, design interventions, maintenance protocols and organisational policies, all supported by the latest scientific and public health research.

 The 10 WELL concepts integrated into this reflection include air, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind and community.

WELL is grounded in a body of evidence-based research that explores the connection between the buildings where we spend approximately 90 percent of our time, and the health and wellness impacts on the people inside these buildings. To be awarded WELL Core^TM Platinum Certification by IWBI, Wood Hub underwent rigorous testing and a final evaluation carried out by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), which is the third-party certification body for WELL, to ensure it met all WELL Core Certification performance requirements.
