The City of Namur has selected the Equilis, BPI, and Woodshapers consortium as the winner of the Bellevue competition, a public tender launched in 2022 in the form of a competitive dialogue.
The winning project, titled "Le Grenier de Bellevue," stands out for its innovative and sustainable vision. It proposes a new way of living that respects the environment, biodiversity, and autonomy. By focusing on active mobility, communal shared spaces, and collective food management, this project exemplifies urban resilience and social diversity.
Upon the announcement of the results, Frédéric Berleur, project developer at BPI, emphasized: "The City of Namur set ambitious sustainability goals for this competition, which, while adding complexity, represents a stimulating challenge for our teams." François Wanet, project developer at Equilis, added: "Our project, Le Grenier de Bellevue, is a multifaceted response to current real estate challenges. Putting citizens and conviviality at the heart of our reflections, while achieving alignment between food production, water management, and green space planning, was essential to bringing Le Grenier de Bellevue to life."
A pioneering neighborhood, serving the community and the environment
Le Grenier de Bellevue embodies an integrated and visionary approach to urban development, addressing three major goals:
A shared commitment to sustainable transformation
Le Grenier de Bellevue is a concrete response to the current ecological and social transition challenges.
