BPI Real Estate & LIFE.BE have reached an agreement on the sale of their joint venture “JOMA2060 NV” to ION Residential Platform (IRP)

BPI Real Estate and LIFE.be have reached an agreement on the transfer to ION Residential Platform (IRP) of their joint venture “JOMA2060 NV”, the real estate company that owns the former John Martin brewery at Park Spoor Noord in Antwerp which it is currently developing into a mixed-use residential scheme aimed at letting.

The design is by BOLD architects. Demolition works have started and JOMA2060 expects its first tenants by the end of 2025.

The site will be transformed into more than 9.000 sqm of spacious, high-quality rental housing and office space:

  • 77 apartments
  • 28 student rooms
  • a multifunctional office space
  • 101 underground parking spaces
  • 250 above-ground bicycle parking spaces.

It will also feature a large 165 sqm common living area and central green courtyard at the heart of the site to bring people together.

The project seeks to retain the valuable historical features of the original John Martin brewery. The old warehouse, chimney and margarine factory will be integrated into the design.

Central to the development are the high sustainability standards. The project will be nearly zero-energy and completely free of fossil fuels.

Located near Antwerp’s Park Spoor Noord, the city’s largest park, the site is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle and car.
